About Chase Paymentech
Chase Paymentech is JPMorgan Chase's merchant acquiring and payment processing business, one of the largest in the world. When a cardholder disputes a charge, the issuer researches the claim and Chase notifies the merchant through Chase Business Online, temporarily debiting the disputed amount while the case is reviewed. Merchants are generally given a defined window to submit supporting evidence, with full resolution taking up to 90 days and unresolved cases escalating to arbitration decided by the card network.
